When I was in Scotland a few months ago, I came across this lovely pub. We were actually running through Glasgow, being attacked by the rain and ‘The Raven’ luckily (and thankfully) was the only place we could see that was dry and sold wine (or beer in my boyfriend’s case!)
We noticed whilst sat in there, that they serve food and not just any old food, but BBQ/ slow smoked food! It was quite late at this point, so vowed to come back for lunch the next day.. which we did.
The service is fab. Joe asked for advice on what beers/ales were good to try and the lady serving us had lots of recommendations.
The menu is simple but what you expect. Ribs, burgers, chicken wings, etc. I loved the various sauces which were on every table!
I went for the burger option and Joe went for the ribs/chicken combo (I honestly don’t know where he puts it!?)
The interior of the restaurant was really nice and made it feel separate from the pub, even though they were in the same building.
If you’re in Glasgow city, I definitely recommend you visit here to experience BBQ and beer heaven!
