5 Happy moments

5 Happy moments

How is it (almost) mid-April? I thought last year went quickly, but this year seems to be on a mission to out-do 2016! Work has been super busy which is why (again!) my blog has taken a bit of a back seat. I’ve been making an effort to keep up with you all though, reading your latest posts and I even took part in a Twitter chat last week – it’s been aaaages!

It hasn’t been all work and no play though, and I’ve managed to squeeze in some happy moments over the past week or so…

1. ‘Proper’ fish and chips

On Thursday, I had to work in London which meant by time I got back home in Oxford, I was exhausted! The thought of cooking was massive no and then I had a huge craving for fish and chips from the local chippy, with curry sauce, of course! I haven’t a ‘proper’ chippy in ages, and it did not disappoint. Yum, yum – a very, happy moment for me!

2. First BBQ of the year

I just realised my first 2 happy moments are food-related, ha! I can’t not mention the first BBQ of the year. Yesterday was filled with glorious sunshine, me wearing a maxi-dress (yay!), drinking prosecco and eating BBQ food – in the garden, outside, in the sun…. yes!

3. Comedy nights out

On Saturday night, I visited the recently re-located Glee club in Oxford. I had no idea who was performing or what to expect at the new venue – which turn out, is quite smaller than the older venue! It was such a good night though, and all the comedians were hilarious which is a bonus. I’ve been to stand up shows before where 1 out of 3 comedians have actually made me LOL.

4. Daffodils

I love love love this time of year – hot cross buns, sunshine and daffodils! I’ve been making the most of the daffodil season, and buying as many different varieties and colours I can find. My favourite colours are in this week’s bunch…. I mean, just look how bright and colourful they are!

5. Gardening

I’ve been making the most of every minute of the glorious weather we’ve been having. I wasted no time getting in the garden – I mowed the grass for the first time ever, I planted some lovely bulbs and put together a hanging basket. You may have seen on my Instagram, I even got some herb pots – £2 from Asda Living, such a bargain! Still waiting for something to grow though – I think that’s my downfall with gardening, I’m too impatient!

Have an amazing week all!
