I’ve been to Ibiza many times and tend to eat at the same type of local restaurants.
This year I was determined to find a restaurant that offered a fine dining experience, that’s when I stumbled across Villa Mercedes.
I happened to walk past this restaurant whilst on my way back from watching the famous sunset near Cafe Mambo. It’s located in the heart of San Antonio right next to the water – stunning location and views.
I was drawn by the sound of a spanish guitar being played – turns out it was Spanish night! I had already eaten that night but I made a promise to go back… which I did.
We sat at a table that offered a lovely view of the water. We was immediately given menus and our orders were taken really swiftly.
The menu is stunning – I couldn’t decide what to order, but ended up opting for a fillet steak.
Whilst waiting for our food the waiter brought out freshly baked bread and Aioli…. I could have eaten it all night – and it was complimentary!
My steak came out perfectly cooked (medium) and the red wine just topped it off!
The desert menu had so many yummy choices, but I was so full from my main meal (and the bread!) – so me and my sister opted to share baked cheesecake…
Good job too, as it was huge!
I wish I had more photos of the exterior but it was dark by time we got here so they didn’t come out well at all.
In regards to the service, it was spot on. All staff were friendly and attentive.
One thing to mention is the price. This place isn’t cheap but if you feel like splashing out a little bit on a special meal, then it’s definitely worth it.
